Maria Miracle is an East Africa-based photographer. She has spent the last three years working and traveling between Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda, attempting to capture as many fleeting and remarkable moments of the natural and human world as possible.
Recently, she's sought out subjects and projects on conservation, climate change, sustainability, environmentally-conscious travel, and wildlife. Some of her favourite subjects include Rwanda's first female safari guide, graduates of the first women's college in Rwanda, and primates and chimpanzees at a rehabilitation center in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Her articles and photographs have been featured on ABC News, The Hollywood Reporter, and The New Times Rwanda.
